The 2010 School Supply Drive is it full swing!
Join us Satuday, August 21, 2010 as we celebrate the end of a six week campaign to collect school supplies for the school children in our community.
Back to school time can be a burden on many families in our community who have to provide school supplies and clothing to one or more children. You can help these families by dropping off school supplies at Canaan through Sunday, August 15. A box is available outside the sanctuary as well as in the lower level worship center. You can also drop off supplies at the church office, Monday through Friday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Donations for supplies will also be accepted. Checks can be made out to Canaan UMC with a notation for “School Supplies”. The school supplies will be distributed at the “Back to School Cookout”, Saturday, August 21th beginning at 4:00 PM at Canaan.
If you know of anyone who needs assistance with supplies, registration is required and can be done Mondays and Thursdays 1:00-3:00 PM in the Canaan Food Pantry and Sunday evenings during the community dinners beginning at 6:00 PM.
